Mojobone creaked wearily to his bare, leathery feet. It felt like he had been asleep for two years.

It was often this way, when the spirits pressed him hard. He had learned to roll with the sudden, frequent onrushes of unconsciousness that signaled their descent into him, the strange echoing howls, the weirdly coruscating patterns of garish color that limned the inside of his brainpan. And then, blackness and a dull sound like water far beneath the ground.

How long had it been, anyway? The dust spirit, now departed, had not been willing to say.

So Mojo had shaken his great tusky head, yawned, belched, and tried to get back to the business of, well, of whatever it was he was meant to be doing. He'd always had trouble keeping track of that sort of thing. He summoned Slogga and headed out into the crepuscular hush of Terokkar Forest. Always eerie in its emptiness, the vast alien wood seemed even quieter now.

Zangarmarsh was no more populous, though the drip and plash of rainwater from the giant fungal caps calmed Mojo down as it always had...how many years before?

Something was wrong. Something more than an extended, spirit-addled nap. Memory tugged at the fraying threads of Mojobone's mind. Something. A vision of—what?

That was when the thunder spirit came, whorling and sizzling down out of the deep cerulean gloom, to remind him what, exactly, he had seen.

It wasn't a happy visitation, but then Mojo's dealings with the spirits seldom were.
